You might be coming here expecting to see New England Outerwear Co branding. We've changed things up, in what we consider to be a very good step forward. Below you can find out a little more about what we are changing, who we are, and where we are going.

Branding Change

We started New England Outerwear wanting to offer a complete menswear brand, head to toe. What we ended up doing was starting a footwear factory from scratch. For years we tried to fit a square peg in a round hole by pushing to make it happen, while still tackling the nearly insurmountable task of operating a footwear shop in the USA. A number of changes over the past year have pushed us to think hard about who we are, our identity, and where we are going. We are a footwear brand first and foremost. We've realized we don't have to be everything to everyone. Maine Mountain Moccasin is us, it's all we are and all we want to be. We craft handsewn shoes, using true moccasin construction. Sounds pretty straightforward right? It's time for the brand to reflect that. Thank you for your years of support and we hope to continue for many more.

Made to Order

We are completely revamping our Made to Order program. With accurate wait times (4-6 weeks currently) to weekly updates on the progress of your order, we are striving to make the process one that informs and involves the customer in their shoes. This is a very personal process, and we want to get to know you, and have you get to know us. Communication is key, so the process might take a bit more time and be a little more expensive, but the end result will be one where you're both happy with the product and the experience of a made to order, designed by and fit for, you.

Updated patterns

We've updated our patterns on all our styles in a big way. Fits are better, ratios are spot on and you will find that what we are doing in terms of last development and pattern making is miles away where we were a few years ago. Since we are taking the chance of rebranding to focus on the image of the brand, we thought we should also focus the attention to our new styles, pattern and material updates.
